Similar to how Roman Health and Hims revolutionized access to healthcare, we are building the system to streamline complex tax planning tools — making them smart, simple, and accessible to everyone.

We started by simplifying the creation and management of irrevocable trusts, and today, we offer a full suite of solutions to address capital gains, income, and estate and gift tax obligations. Our proprietary platform delivers real-time tools and education, enabling individuals and their advisors to evaluate, select, and implement best-in-class tax mitigation strategies — from trust-based solutions to investments in solar energy and oil and gas partnerships.

The proof is in the results: We have scaled quickly to 7 figures of annual revenue with 12 team members, and have partnerships with some of the top investment advisory firms in the business. Given that traction, we have raised money from a group of top early-stage investors, including Vibe Capital, Box Group, Canaan Partners, BasisSet, and notable angels. As demand accelerates, we are expanding our team to help more individuals preserve and grow their wealth.

About this role:

Our goal is to build a platform that is accessible to customers with no experience in complex financial planning and to financial advisors and CPAs who do this for a living.

We believe in high agency and ownership; we prize proactive team members who see a problem and come to the group with a solution and a plan to implement it.

The right candidate for this role will be CPA or Enrolled Agent who is excited to be exposed to a variety of work including:

• Filing trust taxes including Charitable Remainder Trusts and Non-grantor Trusts, ensuring timely filing of tax returns and payments.
• Working with our product team to build out our automated accounting system to help scale our product to thousands of customers. This will include perfecting our existing software and helping us build the logic to automate accounting for new trust products.
• Working with our customers and partners, providing guidance on tax implications of various tax strategies, business decisions, investments, and other financial transactions.
• Identifying potential tax savings opportunities and recommending strategies to clients.

Qualifications:

We are seeking an experienced CPA or Enrolled Agent who is independent, has a track record of solving complex problems and delivering value, and is excited by new challenges:

• 5+ years of accounting experience.
• Previous trust accounting experience, including familiarity with accounting for Charitable Remainder Trusts, Non-grantor Trusts, and more.
• CPA or Enrolled Agent certification.
• Excellent prioritization and project management skills with the ability to take ownership of tasks and drive them from zero to one.
• Eagerness to learn and adapt to new tools and technologies.
• A passion for working in a fast-paced, small, early-stage startup environment. Previous startup experience is a plus.
