Launched in 2019, Taptap is tapping into a transformative shift in global finance: from banks to phones. While this has affected wealthier countries as well, it has been nothing short of a revolution for the emerging markets where the overwhelming majority of population had been unable to access digital finance previously. Taptap Send allows immigrants to send money home instantly and with no fee*, saving money in the process. With a formal market size of >700B alone, we’ve got a lot more saving to do for our users. Role
We’re hiring a Field Recruiter to embed directly in our markets and find the very best talent to fuel our growth. This isn’t a sit-behind-a-desk recruiting role - you’ll be on the ground most of the year, meeting candidates face-to-face, building local networks, and helping us raise the bar on hiring across the business.
You’ll act as the bridge between our global team and local talent pools, making sure we find and attract the people who will thrive at TTS. You’ll own the full recruiting lifecycle; from role kick-off through to close, and be seen as the in-market recruiting expert: partnering with hiring managers, refining processes, and delivering a gold-standard candidate experience. Along the way, you’ll bring back insights from the field that help us continuously improve how we hire worldwide.
Responsibilities
Use our recruitment tools and headhunting strategies to source, attract, and onboard new Tappers in-market
Embed in local markets to build pipelines through on-the-ground networking, events, and partnerships - not just waiting for inbound
Kick off roles effectively: align with hiring managers, calibrate on “what good looks like,” and drive candidates into process quickly
Own the full cycle - from first touch to signed offer - ensuring speed, quality, and candidate experience are gold standard
Develop tailored sourcing strategies per market and role to raise the bar on talent quality
Set and uphold SLAs/KPIs on process speed, candidate grading, and pipeline health
Champion the candidate experience end to end: understand their motivations, ensure process clarity, and provide thoughtful feedback
Be seen as a bar raiser in-market - holding high standards on interviews, process, and hiring quality
Share insights and feedback from markets with the broader recruiting team to continuously refine how we hire globally
Requirements
Fluency in French & English (required)
Experience in proactive, high-quality sourcing (agency or in-house)
Exposure to at least one startup/scale-up environment (Series A–D ideally)
Proven ability to recruit and close A+ level talent
Comfort with a data-first approach (KPIs, funnel metrics, conversion tracking)
Strong resilience; unbothered by changing priorities or directions
Ability to influence stakeholders and defend decisions while building trust
Excited to be on the ground in-market for extended periods, operating with independence and ownership
