Our Opportunity

Snyk IaC (Infrastructure as Code) is one of the company’s products, designed to help Platform & Infrastructure engineers build secure Cloud Infrastructure for their applications. It does that by scanning IaC code such as Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM, and Kubernetes - helping our customers identify security misconfigurations and vulnerabilities as early as possible, as part of their DevSecOps and SDLC.
We are looking for a talented software engineer with a passion for learning and creative problem solving to join the IaC Engineering team. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to enable developers worldwide to build more secure applications efficiently. You will work in and contribute to a collaborative and diverse environment, while leveraging the latest technologies and engineering methodologies. If you feel comfortable programming in Golang and/or Typescript or willing to learn these languages we’d love to meet you.

You’ll Spend Your Time:

• Collaborating with your team to build our product, being proactive and focusing on iterative incremental delivery.
• Actively contribute code while also taking full ownership and responsibility for your implemented changes, across the whole technology stack.
• Working with your team members to create actionable plans to further enhance the team’s product, ways-of-working, and architecture.
• Solving challenges around reliability, performance, and production bugs.
• Testing your code comprehensively, from unit-tests throughout E2E testing.
• Communicate regularly with team-members and other peers across the organization.
• Applying feedback and new knowledge on a broad scale, clearly communicating how actions enable team progress

What You’ll Need:

• High engineering standards for code quality, testing, and iterative continuous delivery.
• Strong Collaboration skills for pair programming, code reviews, and team discussions.
• Strong Passion for learning new things, working with people, and solving problems.
• Great communication skills, ability to articulate things clearly.
• Experience with development environments like Github, CI/CD, CLI tooling, and IDE’s.
• Experience building full-stack features, and familiarity with their development lifecycle.

We’d be Lucky if You:

• Have a strong focus on delivering high quality reliable software for SaaS products.
• Have experience with comprehensive E2E testing and monitoring of applications.
• Have basic familiarity with one of the major Cloud providers (e.g. AWS, GCP, or Azure) and the Application Security domain.
• Have deployed production applications on Kubernetes.
• Are familiar with distributed systems architecture and cloud native applications.
