Engage actively in projects that deliver tangible value and significantly influence the efficiency and effectiveness of our company's core business operations - including customer onboarding, entitlement management and usage tracking. Be the driving force behind smooth Snyk adoption and fuel our field teams' success.

Responsibilities:

• Architect and implement scalable systems for provisioning customer environments with accurate product entitlements
• Integrate systems to guarantee the flow of product usage data to back-office systems, empowering sales and support teams
• Own all aspects of the customer lifecycle, from initial setup to ongoing engagement
• Lead high-priority projects that improve both business operations and customer experience
• Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and sales + customer success representatives, and design, to iterate on critical infrastructure

You’ll Spend Your Time:

• Pair-programming and collaboratively building the services that power Snyk’s customer experience
• Using best practices and new technologies to maintain and extend our existing services
• Working across the full stack and entire development life cycle to build, test, deploy, and support high-quality, reliable, fast services
• Collaborating with other teams across R&D and wider Snyk
• Collaborate on architectural decisions for performant and maintainable solutions
• Supporting and growing the other engineers in your team through pairing, feedback, and mentoring
• Investigating and addressing performance and scalability concerns across our services as we grow
• Evolving our technology and architecture to meet the challenges ahead
• Participating in our on-call rotation (compensated)

What You’ll Need:

• Familiarity with Node.js, JavaScript, TypeScript, React, Go, or willing to learn
• Commitment to code quality and constructive code reviews
• Experience using Test-Driven Development (TDD)
• Experience collaborating on UX with members of a design team
• Comfort driving cross-functional work across the stack to deliver new features from ideation to production
• A fast-paced approach, fitting a start-up/scale-up environment using product-led practices
• Comfort working with uncertainties and unknowns

We’d be Lucky if You:

• Have a demonstrable track record of project leadership and mentorship of software engineers
• Have experience building software that integrates with multiple existing systems; especially relevant would be billing, entitlement, and license management systems
• Experience with Analytics tools and platforms, like Segment, Amplitude, Snowflake, and Google Analytics.
• Have helped scale a rapidly growing SaaS application
• Have been a part of a globally distributed team
• Have worked on large-scale distributed systems
