About the Team:

Smartly proudly houses Editor, the creative heart of our platform. We build the engine that brings advertising to life, providing the essential tools for scaling creative post-production through image, video, and HTML templates. Our customers rely on our creative production tooling to design, animate, and scale millions of assets, and your future team will be placed in the center of all of this effort.

We are a Helsinki based group of experts passionate about solving high-level frontend challenges. Our squad enables the world's largest brands to turn a single design into a global campaign by mastering complex state management and high-performance canvas-based interactions. We are tech-agnostic at heart but rely heavily on React and TypeScript to build a seamless and powerful design experience. As a Software Engineer, You Will:

• Own features from technical design to completion, ensuring that your code is clean and follows best practices.
• Work fluently with Product Managers and Designers, actively supporting the product discovery process and identifying potential issues with requirements early on.
• Drive your own work independently, prioritizing tasks effectively to ensure steady progress on stories and team goals.
• Contribute to technical planning, helping the team map out how new features fit into our frontend monorepo and core packages.
• Be self-sufficient in large areas of our codebase, while maintaining a high-level understanding of how the Editor connects to other components.
• Solicit feedback and drive continuous improvement, both in your personal growth and in the team’s overall ways of working.

What We’re Looking For:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience building web applications, with a strong focus on frontend development and clean code.
• Solid expertise in React and TypeScript, with the ability to be productive and deliver high-quality work immediately.
• A self-driven mindset, with the ability to manage your own time and prioritize work without needing constant oversight.
• Strong collaborative skills, enjoying the process of working with Product and UX to bridge the gap between design and technical implementation.
• An eagerness to learn and improve, showing a track record of learning from mistakes and applying best practices to your work.
• Excellent spoken and written communication skills in English
• Ability to work in a hybrid capacity from our Helsinki office 3 days a week.
