Smartly.io is currently looking for a Deputy Chief of Staff to join our growing team! Supporting the Chief Commercial Officer this role will be responsible for various aspects of their daily work. There will be a strong emphasis on presentation materials, interactions with key collaborators, and undertaking critical analyses. You will represent the CCO to colleagues & team members across the company and externally. Additional responsibilities will include coordinating and collaborating with the Commercial Leadership Team to execute on the agenda. To be successful in this role you are skilled at making time, information, and decision making more effective. You will be an extension of the CCO and partner on delegation across different commercial groups.

As the Deputy Chief of Staff at Smartly.io you will…

  • Organize & Coordinate: Efficiently organize and coordinate ideas, projects, people, and resources, with a specific focus on enhancing communication strategies and materials
  • Communicate: Craft compelling and visually engaging communication materials, specifically slides, to effectively convey the vision, ideas, and projects to relevant stakeholders. Provide guidance on content creation, offer context, and connect dots across the Leadership Team
  • Delegate & Extend: Delegate projects and tasks to appropriate individuals, providing support and ensuring accountability for results

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage cadence for the creation of communications materials, ensuring impactful presentations and clear communication
  • Provide support for go-to-market functions, including such items as sales decks, partnership proposals, and marketing events
  • Coordinate and oversee cross-functional material creation, facilitating special projects with a keen focus on action & accountability
  • Operate at a tactical, strategic, and operational level, overseeing communication projects as needed
  • Coordinate communication between Leadership Team members, bridging gaps in organizational structure, and supporting cross-functional collaboration
  • Serve as the CCO's communication extension, managing information flow, filtering work/requests, and facilitating internal and external stakeholder communications
  • Promote Team Integration through effective communication strategies
  • Track high-priority communication initiatives, KPIs, and outcomes
  • Act as a thought partner and advisor, providing insights into company culture & dynamics at ground level
  • Provide & integrate analysis & recommendations
  • Set expectations and act as a translator for staff when necessary, ensuring clarity & alignment
  • Travel with CCO when needed, to provide on-the-ground support during key events / activities

We are looking for you if you have...

  • Strong financial background with corresponding analytical skills, with high competence in creating presentations, driving efficient work streams independently
  • Effective communication skills verbally with strengths in creating presentation materials in PowerPoint/Google slides
  • Problem solving skills, with the ability to deliver increasingly complex, operational, and strategic initiatives
  • The ability to simplify complex topics and communicate to relevant stakeholders
  • Confidence to engage and pressure test leadership's current thinking, challenging where necessary
  • The ability to self-prioritize & motivate, without continuous intervention from management
  • The ability to utilize sound judgment when prioritizing a high volume of incoming requests and are comfortable with some level of ambiguity

Salary in USD : $95,000.00-115,000 USD
