We are looking for an experienced VP, Product Marketing to strengthen our team! You will lead a globally distributed team of product marketers and help Smartly.io build a solution that combines creative automation, data and media optimization to transform the way that people connect with the brands that they love.
As the VP, Global Product Marketing at Smartly you will...
- Represent the global voice of the customer at Smartly by analyzing advertiser needs, staying ahead of the constantly evolving ad landscape and watching competitors to advise the product roadmap, positioning, competitive advantage and commercial strategy
- Be responsible for Smartly go-to-market strategy and product roadmap in service of commercial goals for new and existing business
- Lead a team of product marketers and enablement specialists responsible for crafting compelling messaging, positioning, product taxonomy and go-to-market strategies
- Craft plans for new product and service offerings across Smartly Creative, Media and Intelligence suites
- Collaborate with sales & customer enablement, commercial leadership, as well as growth & brand marketing leads to craft messaging, collateral and success stories that engage our target customers with relevant content
- Guide the product management and engineering teams to define customer needs/pain points and develop solutions to address them
- Oversee the training team responsible for roll-out of new features via the Smartly Academy
- Develop deep relationships with our product marketing partners at the world's leading social media platforms to drive improvements in our customer experience
- Perform market, competitive, pricing & packaging analysis and recommend solutions based on findings
- Provide product and market expertise in support of our customer facing commercial teams
We're definitely looking for you if you have...
- 12+ years of business strategy and marketing experience with 10+ years in a product marketing role defining and carrying out go-to-market strategy
- Experience working in a fast-paced B2B/SaaS startup; AdTech and/or creative/media agency experience is a big plus
- Experience working closely with product management, engineering, analytics, design and other marketing capabilities (regional marketing, growth marketing, brand and content marketing) to develop, launch, and scale solutions
- Track record of effectively advising senior stakeholders on product positioning and priorities
- Experience developing positioning, messaging and pricing for products and offering packages that serve multiple use-cases, verticals and markets.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills; very comfortable communicating to senior executives
- A consistent record influencing a cross-functional and highly diverse distributed team to outcomes
- Ability to master a sophisticated offering with multiple dimensions (including product, services and partnerships) and simplify into easily digestible yet uniquely differentiated value propositions
- Highly effective analytics, listening and critical thinking skills with deep commitment to understanding customer needs
- Ability to inspire cross-functional teams, tell compelling stories and present with confidence to a broad range of audiences
- Proven track record of building and leading a hard-working team of product marketing managers in a B2B SaaS environment
- Strong project management and collaboration skills with the ability to balance shifting priorities and handle ongoing projects
The base pay range for this position is as mentioned below per year, plus annual bonus. We take into consideration an individual’s background, expertise, and experience in determining final salary.
