We are looking for a Finance Specialist specialising in Accounts Receivable to join our Global Finance team in Helsinki.

This is an exciting time to join us as we continue to strengthen our Global Finance team, and you will play a key part in evolving our customer facing communications and reporting processes.

Your main responsibilities will be to help our customers around the world with their finance related questions, driving overdues management, communicating with customers and liaising with our Customer Success teams regarding accounts receivable status.

You will also provide accurate data and financial reporting to all relevant stakeholders, and have end-to-end ownership of the accounts receivables processes and data.

As a Finance Specialist at Smartly, you will...

• Act as a contact point between Smartly teams and Global customers for invoice & payment queries
• Proactively work with customers to collect payments and solve issues
• Be in charge of multiple geographic regions for cash collection reporting and analysis
• Contribute to daily accounts receivable tasks such as enabling a smooth customer onboarding, handling payment applications and discrepancies, generating customer statements and reminders, reconciling overall customer accounts receivables
• Take part in our monthly financial closing schedule as related to revenue and accounts receivable requirements
• Help us shape our Group finance processes going forward
• Other daily finance tasks and routines

We're definitely looking for you, if you...

• Have relevant work experience in finance - we do not necessarily expect you to be fully fluent in all the tasks from the start, we are also open towards applicants who are willing and able to learn the needed skills
• Have solid organizational skills with the ability to manage priorities and co-operate with the team to execute in a fast-paced environment
• Have strong communication skills, with a keen eye for detail
• Are result oriented, comfortable working in collaborative setting, and an interest in continuously automating and improving processes
• Are fluent in using MS Office (Excel) and Google Suite (Sheets)
• Are comfortable using English in a work context
• Experience in using Netsuite is considered an advantage
• Experience in using Salesforce is considered an advantage
• Experience working in customer service is considered an advantage
• Are able to work in a hybrid capacity from our Helsinki office a minimum of 2 days a week
• Are able to work during EMEA/NORAM hours, as applicable
