About this role

We’re looking for a QA engineer to join our Infrastructure team. You will oversee the planning, design, development, and execution of manual and automated test suites for Shara. You'll work with members of the release management, product & engineering teams to create smoke, regression, and feature test suites and plan for automated solutions to execute and validate against every build.

In this role, you will:

• Own the quality of features and contribute to testing efforts for a product domain.
• Review functional and design specifications, and prepare test plans.
• Work with cross-functional peers to develop manual and automated test suites for existing (and new) features.
• Integrate with CI systems, and parallelize automated test execution.
• Carry out manual black box and white box testing of iOS and Android apps
• Work with Product & Release Managers to certify a release and investigate issues.

What you bring to the table:

• Technical background, with hands-on experience with scripting languages such as Java, Javascript or Python.
• Knowledge of software testing methodologies, tools and processes
• Experience creating clear and concise test suites from specifications or test cases.
• Experience testing APIs using tools such as Postman
• Strong communication skills and ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical audiences.

Added advantage:

• Prior experience working on core banking infrastructure or in payments.
• Experience working with CI systems in an agile / scrum development environment.
