Content Strategist
Savvy
SailPoint is seeking a forward-thinking AI-First Content Strategist to revolutionize our content ecosystem. This is a new, strategic position designed for an innovator who will not just drive SailPoint’s content strategy across key audiences, channels, and stage of the customer journey, but will also integrate with and optimize the AI-driven engines that power our global storytelling. Reporting to the leader of the content team, you will be the central force in scaling our output and championing our message through advanced AI.
If you are a strategist who understands how to blend human creativity with technological precision; how to connect audience insights, messaging, and business objectives into unified content plans and can leverage AI tools to execute those plans more efficiently; and are excited to build the future of content marketing, this is your opportunity. You will be instrumental in evangelizing and integrating AI across our marketing efforts, ensuring our tools become a trusted, "in-tune" resource for teams across SailPoint.
What You'll Do
- Pioneer AI-first content strategy: You will own the development and execution of a content strategy that prioritizes AI integration. This includes creating the editorial roadmap, identifying key themes, and aligning our content to corporate messaging and marketing goals.
- Develop and implement AI agents: A critical part of your role will be to spearhead the creation, training, and refinement of AI agents to automate content drafting, repurposing, and localization workflows in partnership with our marketing operations team.
- Conduct strategic content analysis: Using a combination of your expertise and AI tools, you will perform comprehensive content gap analyses to identify competitive white space, emerging topics, and opportunities across different personas, verticals, and stages of the buyer's journey.
- Develop scalable frameworks: You will partner with product, partner, and field marketing teams to translate complex positioning and messaging into scalable content frameworks that can be effectively used by both human writers and your AI agents.
- Orchestrate and optimize: You will oversee the creation and optimization of a wide range of content formats (web pages, ebooks, solution briefs, videos, infographics, etc.), ensuring that AI tools are used ethically and effectively to maintain quality at scale.
- Govern our content universe: You will manage and evolve our content inventory, taxonomy, and governance processes to ensure our data structure supports future AI ingestion and retrieval, making our content accurate, consistent, and easy to find.
- Drive with data: In collaboration with our digital teams, you'll use search insights and performance trends to inform your strategy, ensuring content is discoverable, structured for AEO and SEO, and provides immense value to our audience.
- Humanize our technology: You will interview our internal subject matter experts to extract deep insights and develop compelling narratives. A key output will be creating prompt libraries that allow us to scale these expert insights across a multitude of assets.
What You'll Need for Success
Must-Have Qualifications:
- Demonstrated AI proficiency: This is non-negotiable. You must have significant hands-on experience with generative AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, Jasper). Crucially, you should have experience building or configuring AI agents/bots for content workflows and a strong command of prompt engineering. Be prepared to share specific examples of how you use AI today.
- Strategic content experience: 8+ years in content strategy, content marketing, or a related role within a B2B technology company. We will want to see examples of your strategic work, such as content audits, gap analyses, or strategy presentations.
- Deep analytical skills: You are comfortable digging into performance data, identifying trends, and using those insights to make strategic recommendations and articulate a clear vision.
- Technical proficiency: You are familiar with Content Management Systems (CMS), AEO/SEO tools, and web analytics.
- Exceptional collaboration & influence: You have a proven ability to work cross-functionally and can effectively evangelize the adoption of new technologies and processes to teams in product marketing, sales, and campaigns.
- Editorial judgement: You have excellent editorial judgement, prioritization, and content QA skills – specifically the ability to edit and humanize AI-generated drafts.
- Analytical mindset: You are confident analyzing performance data to influence strategy and future content investments.
- Communication: You have exceptional communication and facilitation skills and are able to lead editorial discussions and influence stakeholders on the value of AI integration.
- Project management: You are proficient in managing deadlines, content assets, and cross-functional workflows.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Industry knowledge: While experience in enterprise SaaS, security, or identity platforms is a strong plus, we are open to exceptional candidates from other industries who possess elite strategic and AI skills.
Your First Year: Key Milestones
- First 30 days: You will be expected to get up to speed on SailPoint's current content creation tools and processes and gain a deep understanding of our existing content library and how it maps to the sales funnel.
- First 60 days: You will conduct a comprehensive content gap analysis and present a formal report that includes a clear, actionable plan for future content development.
- Within the first year: You will have evolved our AI tools to be highly effective and reliable, making them an indispensable and trusted resource for teams across the company, including our sales organization.
