Position Summary
The Supervisor, Stockroom & RX Lab Logistics is responsible for overseeing inventory, stockroom operations, and material flow across the RX Lab. This role ensures accurate and timely movement of materials to support manufacturing, assembly, and shipping operations.
This position plays a critical role in maintaining operational efficiency by managing inventory accuracy, monitoring production flow, and leading a high-performing team in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Production & Logistics Oversight
Oversee daily stockroom operations, including material handling, order picking, and internal transfers
Ensure proper material flow to support assembly, lens manufacturing, and coating operations
Monitor work-in-progress (WIP) and identify bottlenecks to maintain production efficiency
Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments across internal warehouses and 3PL partners
Inventory Management
Maintain accurate inventory across all storage locations, including Kardex and warehouse systems
Oversee receiving, storage, and replenishment of materials to meet production demands
Conduct cycle counts and support physical inventory processes
Partner with sourcing and supply chain teams to address defects, shortages, and replenishment needs
KPI & Performance Management
Track and report on key operational metrics such as throughput, inventory accuracy, and order flow
Use data to identify trends, drive accountability, and improve performance
Provide regular updates to leadership on operational performance and challenges
Team Leadership
Lead, coach, and develop stockroom and logistics team members
Manage scheduling and daily priorities to meet operational goals
Conduct team huddles to align on priorities, safety, and performance expectations
Foster a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Partner with Production, Planning, Supply Chain, and CX teams to align inventory and order flow
Collaborate with Finance and Business Systems to ensure accurate inventory reporting
Support process improvements to enhance efficiency across operations
Safety & Compliance
Ensure compliance with all safety protocols and company standards
Promote safe use of equipment and proper material handling practices
Maintain a safe and organized work environment
Qualifications
3+ years of experience in inventory control, stockroom, or logistics within a manufacturing or distribution environment
1+ years of experience leading or supervising teams
Experience with inventory management systems (Kardex preferred)
Familiarity with ERP systems (NetSuite preferred)
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
