Job Summary
The Field Product Director (FPD) is a senior-level, field-based leadership role critical to ONKOS’s growth strategy. This position is responsible for driving ELEOS adoption, surgeon conversion, and product utilization across a defined geography by providing high-level clinical expertise, strategic field leadership, and hands-on execution.
The FPD partners closely with surgeon customers, distributor partners, and ONKOS commercial leadership to expand penetration at key tumor centers and accelerate conversion from competitive systems. This role plays a pivotal part in scaling ONKOS by ensuring consistent, high-quality clinical support, training, and customer experiences that lead to long-term adoption and revenue growth.
The Field Product Director provides direct clinical field support, including case coverage for the first three (3) ELEOS cases, surgical planning, and technical training for both the ONKOS selling organization and distributor network. In addition, this role serves as a key field liaison to Marketing and Product teams, contributing to launch execution, special initiatives, and voice-of-customer feedback.
Key Responsibilities
- Uphold ONKOS Core Beliefs, Code of Business Conduct, and all regulatory and compliance requirements
- Drive execution of ONKOS’s growth strategy by supporting surgeon conversion and sustained ELEOS adoption within assigned geography
- Establish and maintain world-class processes and clinical engagement standards with hospital systems and surgeon customers
- Partner cross-functionally with Sales Leadership, RSMs, TSMs, TSRs, and distributor partners to ensure aligned execution at key tumor centers
- Provide a best-in-class surgeon experience through:
- Case coverage for the first three (3) ELEOS cases
- uDesign surgical planning support
- Technical training and intraoperative assistance
- Execute customer conversion strategies and tactical plans in coordination with commercial leadership
- Collaborate with Marketing on product launch execution, customer programs, and strategic initiatives; provide actionable voice-of-customer insights to support product development and commercialization
- Partner with the VP of U.S. Distribution and Regional Sales Managers on pricing strategy and disciplined implementation
- Travel regularly to maintain a strong field presence with key surgeons, hospital stakeholders, and distributor partners
- Demonstrate a performance-driven leadership culture that promotes accountability, professional development, and retention
- Proactively identify risks to business objectives and develop mitigation strategies; maintain accountability for resolution of customer and hospital satisfaction issues
- Ensure comprehensive clinical support and training across the ONKOS selling organization and distributor network, including case coverage, surgical planning, and product education to ensure consistent customer experiences and optimal patient outcomes
Qualifications & Requirements
- 10+ years of medical device industry experience
- Strong clinical operating room experience
- Experience with limb salvage, complex revision, total joint, and competitive implant systems
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Prior experience with expense management and/or P&L responsibility
- Strong analytical skills with a data-driven approach to decision-making
- Advanced communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
