Job Summary
The Accounting Associate performs accounting, accuracy of financial records, sales order entry and customer maintenance. The team member in this position will be responsible for the complete cycle of accounts payable, processing travel and entertainment expenditures. Assisting the Finance team with month end close process and journal entry creation and input. Team member will also be responsible for assisting Manager of Financial Analysis with order and customer management in our ERP system. The role will require data extraction from our ERP system for various sales reporting and creation. This role requires strong attention to detail, data management proficiency, and the ability to work efficiently within a fast-paced environment. The team member will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to optimize operational efficiency and maintain data integrity.
Responsibilities
Accounting & Finance
· Accounts Payable daily voucher entry, weekly check selection with Controller and SVP of Finance ACH and check approvals, printing and mailing.
· Ensure that all vouchers are routed for proper approval prior to entry in ERP system.
· Follow up with vendors for any outstanding checks over 20 days.
· Reconcile past due vendor statements to ensure all vouchers have been received.
· Ensure process of onboarding new vendors is complete by obtaining W9, payment terms, and providing documentation to Controller and Quality for approval in ERP system.
· Maintain vendor contact information for automated ACH remittances in ERP system.
· Monitor credit card charges, payment discrepancies, refunds, returns and miscellaneous charges.
· Maintain month end accrual for Controller.
· Analyze and create monthly Royalty calculations and journal entries.
· Assist in updating and maintaining various sales reports.
· Maintain electronic financial filing systems and assemble financial data for audits.
Data Input Integrity
- Order entry based on Onkos case book calendar and Post Bill information
· Assist in the collection of Purchase Orders from Hospitals and verifying information in ERP is correct.
· Perform associated sales data management tasks (Sales Order Creation, Surgical Calendar Tracking).
· Perform master data entry into the ERP system (e.g. Customer Master, Customer Contact, and Price Lists).
· Maintain information in ERP System (e.g. Customer Master, Price Lists).
· Create Ad-Hoc Reporting through data extraction.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration , Applied Mathematics, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in accounting.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel with ability to analyze data at detailed level.
- PowerPoint and Word knowledge required.
- High attention to detail with excellent data input and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently, multitask, and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
