Job Summary
The Planning and Case Logistics and Analyst is a multi-functional position that facilitates multiple personalized implant/instrument cases per week through the design, manufacturing and shipment process. This position interfaces with multiple functional areas including engineering, manufacturing, accounting, and sales. The Planning and Logistics and Analyst is on a team responsible for the design and development of patient-matched surgical implants and instruments from surgeon request through shipment. The focus of these individual projects (cases) is on the individualized treatment of a patient on behalf of a requesting surgeon. The role also encompasses tracking the workflow of all process steps, communicating project status with internal and external team members, generating and distributing Key Performance Indicators and helping to ensure each patient-matched device stays on schedule for final delivery.
Responsibilities
- Adhere to Onkos Core Beliefs, Code of Business Conduct, all regulatory requirements, and quality standards.
- Support company advocacy initiatives to help raise awareness of sarcoma and pediatric cancer and drive positive change that will impact the lives of cancer patients.
- Manage new customer coordination for customer onboarding, account set up and support.
- Patient Imaging expert: coordinate image acquisition/analysis and preparation of patient imaging during the case initiation process.
- Provide case status updates and KPI metrics for each case within the My3D workflow to ensure process goals are met.
- Oversight of planning, scheduling, directing, and executing production activities with manufacturers (internal and external) for maximum performance of My3D personalized device cases.
- Place orders with Customer Service for instrumentation required to support cases.
- Process personalized device customer quotations and POs; review each line item for pricing, quantity requirements, revision and accuracy.
- Manage the coordination of domestic and international shipments of implants and instruments with Onkos Logistics team to ensure on time delivery for cases.
- Provide support for patient-specific case routers and labeling.
- Serve as point of contact and owner of QuickBase planning software.
- Support quality, regulatory, and marketing initiatives that require Patient Solutions assistance.
Requirements
- Passion to find solutions to our patients’ unmet clinical needs and to advocate for their cause.
- Outstanding communication and organizational skills.
- Must be proficient in Excel, Access and ERP/MRP platforms.
- Associates or bachelor’s degree in engineering, life sciences, Supply chain, or business discipline preferred
- 2+ years of experience in an administrative logistics or Operations coordination role in a production environment.
- Work experience in the medical device field (preferably related to orthopedics) and experience working with external customers and workflow coordination is a strong plus.
- Demonstrated ability with Microsoft Office software
- Must be self-motivated, able to work independently, and thrive in a fast-paced dynamic environment.
- Must be willing to attend and participate in cadaveric product evaluations and attend surgery for observation and/or technical support as required.
