Ollie is looking for a Content Creator to conceptualize and produce engaging short-form video content for platforms like Instagram and TikTok that delivers on Ollie’s brand values and social media strategy. The ideal candidate stays ahead of social media trends and cultural moments, creating timely and relevant content that resonates with our community and drives engagement. You will manage the entire content production process, from filming to editing, while experimenting with various styles to keep our content fresh and engaging with our community across social media platforms. We’re seeking a creative thinker with strong storytelling abilities who is passionate about dogs and our community, with excellent communication skills and a keen eye for detail.
This role is based remotely within the U.S. and will report to the Brand Marketing Manager.

What You'll Do:

  • Conceptualize, star in, and create engaging and original short-form video content for social channels like Instagram and TikTok that aligns with Ollie’s brand's voice and objectives.
  • Stay ahead of social media trends, challenges, and cultural moments to implement relevant and timely content into the broader social media calendar.
  • Collaborate closely with the Ollie brand marketing team to understand campaign goals and messaging, translating them into visual narratives that drive engagement and brand advocacy.
  • Execute end-to-end video production, including ideation, filming, editing, sound design, and visual effects, to deliver polished and high-quality content.
  • With the goal of continuously improving performance metrics, experiment with different video styles, techniques, and formats to keep content fresh and appealing to diverse audiences.
  • Monitor social media trends, competitor activity, relevant conversations, and feedback, and leverage these insights to inform our content strategy and creative output.
  • Frequently analyze performance of content to optimize continuously via regular reporting and actionable recommendations.
  • Engage with and manage the Ollie and broader dog community across various social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, etc.) and monitor comments and trends to foster a sense of community and drive meaningful interactions.
  • Drive proactive social interactions across social channels to keep Ollie involved in relevant conversations and top of mind for social users.
  • Explore opportunities for and assist with creative production on ad hoc content-related projects including podcast, YouTube Shorts, LinkedIn, Ollie member Facebook group, Reddit forums, blog content.

Who You Are:

  • You have a proven track record of social media content creation with a portfolio showcasing your ability to create viral, high-performing content.
  • You have a deep understanding of social media platforms and their ecosystems, trends, challenges, and each platform’s unique community culture.
  • You are comfortable and charismatic in front of the camera.
  • You have a proficiency in hands-on content creation, including ideation, production, and creative execution via in-app editing, video editing software, and creative tools to produce visually appealing and well-edited content.
  • You can work independently and cross-functionally alongside the Social Media Lead, creative team, and other marketing team collaborators.
  • You have strong visual and storytelling skills, with an eye for detail and a knack for capturing attention quickly.
  • You are familiar with social media management tools (i.e. Sprout Social).
  • You have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • You are a creative thinker with the ability to develop engaging content and messages.
  • You are passionate about dogs and understand dog parents and the dog community.
  • You have a strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
