Mindtickle is looking for a SDET-III for our Enterprise SaaS platform/product. Working as part of the Engineering team, and with a goal to provide a world-class customer experience consistently, you would provide technical leadership and strategic direction to the Quality Engineering organization with a focus on defining and applying innovative test strategies, test methodologies, testing techniques, novel test automation approaches and framework choices, with a long term view to improve Quality practices across the engineering teams and laying out a path for solving bigger, complex and heterogeneous challenges across test automation pyramid, test infrastructure and strategizing major feature/high impact releases.
We are looking for a self-driven, detail oriented and hands-on engineer who is passionate about quality, technology, solving interesting and complex engineering problems, and possesses a positive disposition and a collaborative mindset.
What’s in it for you?
- Build a complete understanding of business requirements, primary and customer facing use cases.
- Develop a strong end-to-end functional and architectural understanding of the feature/product.
- Review the architecture and design with a focus on Correctness, Testability, Performance, Security, Reliability, Scalability; keeping customer experience at the forefront.
- Define and establish Microservices testing strategies and processes for the identified product streams.
- Define the Test Automation strategy and design test automation frameworks, performance testing frameworks, SaaS service validation design in the CI/CD pipeline with a focus to achieve well-balanced test coverage across the layers - predominantly, backend - Services (API, Integration, Component).
- Conduct impact assessment of new and changed areas, conduct code reviews, reviews the test strategy with a “test-to-fail” mindset and guides the functional teams to ensure high quality releases.
- Identify, track and address the high impact and prioritized test coverage gaps in the product streams.
We’d love to hear from you, if you:
- Have 7-10 years of work experience, with at least 2 years experience working in enterprise SaaS platform/product (AWS Cloud).
- Have hands-on experience in designing, developing, implementation of robust, reliable cross-functional test automation frameworks for large scale Enterprise SaaS platform/product.
- Have Experience in driving and establishing Microservices testing strategies.
- Have Experience in developing test automation frameworks for simulating and validating product features with large, heterogeneous and complex data sets.
- are having Experience in defining, executing Performance and Load testing strategy for SaaS platform/product with hands-on experience in Performance monitoring tools and experience in analyzing, troubleshooting and debugging performance bottlenecks.
Required Skills
- Testing: Test-to-fail mindset, Test Planning, Test strategy.
- Cloud Technologies: AWS cloud, Microservices and Event Driven Architecture, Messaging brokers (Kafka/RabbitMQ/AWS SQS/SNS), Serverless (Lambda); REST APIs
- Programming and Automation: OOPs concepts, Data structures, Algorithms.
- Languages: Golang/Python/Java.
- Ability to write clean and modular code, develop test harness/tools; Code coverage
- Observability and monitoring tools: DataDog, SumoLogic
- Container and Orchestration: Hands-on experience in Docker, Kubernetes
- Investigative Skills: Curiosity, keen observation and an eye for detail; Logical, Analytical, Critical thinking skills; Problem solving skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Good to have: Test data modeling and design experience.
- Good to have: Performance Testing frameworks/tools: Locust/Gatling/Goose, Flood, Blazemeter.
