The Facilities Lead will oversee and execute preventive maintenance activities for manufacturing equipment and facility systems. This role will manage facilities, systems, and equipment including the operational start-up of the new facility and initial qualifications. The position requires strong technical aptitude, organizational skills, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance and operational readiness. - B.S. degree in Engineering, Metrology, or related field with 5+ years of relevant experience OR Associate’s degree with 8+ years of experience in metrology or equipment maintenance OR High School diploma with 10+ years of hands-on experience in calibration and PMs
- Strong hands-on experience in preventative maintenance, knowledge of calibrations, and equipment troubleshooting
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
- Excellent organizational and scheduling skills
- Ability to interpret, draft and revise technical manuals, work instructions, and SOPs
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Experience with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) preferred
- Ability to work independently and lead small teams
- Commitment to quality, integrity, and continuous improvement
- Experience with HVAC, Clean utility systems, Compressed air, and Process gases required.
- Experience with Building management systems, Environmental monitoring systems, process manufacturing systems and general facilities infrastructure required.
- Experience with fluid coatings, UV curable materials, or printing technologies is a plus.
- Perform and document preventive maintenance (PMs) on manufacturing, facility, and laboratory equipment
- Establish maintenance priorities and coordinate cross-functional activities with manufacturing, QC, QA, Operations, and external vendors to optimize equipment performance and minimize operational downtime
- Develop and maintain a scheduling system for environmental monitoring, equipment testing, and recertifications.
- Ensure all facilities activities comply with internal SOPs, GMP/GLP standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Review and approve Engineering Turnover Packages (ETOPs) and asset acceptance documentation to ensure operational readiness and long-term maintainability
- Coordinate with manufacturing, QC, QA, and facilities teams to minimize downtime and ensure timely execution of preventative maintenance tasks.
- Troubleshoot equipment issues and escalate as needed for repair or replacement.
- Support audits and inspections by providing documentation and demonstrating compliance.
- Identify and implement process improvements related to equipment, and facility reliability.
- Draft and manage deviations, CAPAs, investigations, and change controls related to metrology activities.
- Train and mentor junior technicians in PM procedures.
- Participate in GEMBA walks and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Perform other leadership and facilities management responsibilities as assigned.
