Position Summary:

The Senior Manager/ Associate Director, People and Culture Operations will serve as a trusted partner within Liquidia through the development and implementation of benefit programs and HR technology solutions that enable employee success. Reporting to the VP, People and Culture, this role will be responsible for managing the company’s internal HRIS, benefit programs, and compliance and reporting.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and maintain optimal function of the organization’s internal HRIS systems which may include database management, customization, development, maintenance, and upgrades to applications, systems, and modules.
  • Plan, develop, and execute employee benefits programs, policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with all legal requirements (ERISA, HIPAA, ACA).
  • Work with external providers in the identification and implementation of benefit offerings for international employees.
  • Track benefits benchmarking data.
  • Administer paid and unpaid leaves, as needed.
  • Generate reports (i.e. turnover, benefits enrollment and costs, etc.) and analyze data for stakeholders.
  • Maintain data integrity in HRIS with a high level of accuracy and confidentiality to ensure compliance with federal, state, and international regulations, such as GDPR.
  • Oversight of electronic employee records and file audits as needed (this includes background checks, new hire paperwork (I-9s), employee status changes, pay changes, job changes, and leaves of absence)
  • Provide proactive benefit communications, including new employee enrollment, benefit updates, annual open enrollment, and general employee counseling on benefit-related issues.
  • Evaluate industry trends and best practices, seeking opportunities to enhance the competitiveness of our plans and programs.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, HR, or Life Sciences OR equivalent experience required.
  • Pharmaceutical, Biotech, Life Science, or CDMO industry experience required.
  • 5-7+ years’ experience in HR operations, systems administration, or HR Ops
  • Business and Financial Acumen: Strong business acumen and understanding of business strategy.
  • Strategic Thought Leadership: innovative mindset with a willingness to challenge the status quo and ability to switch gears as the business dictates it.
  • Consultative Problem Solving: ability to identify and develop solutions with the business, COEs and enterprise goals in mind.
