Senior Data Engineer

What You'll Do:

• Troubleshoot issues with the data replication pipeline and provide solutions to stakeholders
• Responding to alerts and outages in a timely manor, providing status updates to stakeholders
• Update our data warehouse schema in response to changes in production database.
• Participate in the design and maintenance of key reports. Work with stakeholders to maintain and modify dashboards.
• Suggest optimizations for data replication and implementation

We would LOVE to hear from you:

• 4 years of experience working with data and stakeholders to surface actionable insights and inform decisions
• Expert knowledge of SQL, Fivetran and modern data platforms. Experience building, configuring, and managing high-quality data pipelines using tools like {Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, etc}, {dbt, Airflow, etc}, and {Looker, Tableau, etc} to enable analysis and visualization
• Alternative: Expert-level knowledge of SQL, including experience in data modeling, query performance, and query optimization
• Comfortable with end-to-end data workflows including analysis, reporting, and presenting evidence-based conclusions in a compelling way
• Alternative: Experience working with business stakeholders to understand problems and engineers to understand data sources, and experience influencing strategy with data
• Experience with at least one scripting language, ideally Python
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate your findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Highly organized and able to manage multiple projects and prioritize competing priorities
• Experience in remote work environments, demonstrating a strong ability to work autonomously and deliver high-quality results independently
