Hermeus is actively seeking a skilled and passionate individual to join our expanding team as an NX Administrator. In this pivotal role, you will manage the NX environment end-to-end, shaping how our engineers design, release and collaborate. You will administer and elevate the system, resolve complex technical issues, define and enforce modeling standards, and empower users through training and automation. Beyond NX, you will play a critical role in connecting CAD data through our broader digital thread, ensuring clean, reliable information flows from Design to Manufacturing.
Responsibilities:
- System Ownership and Standards:
- Champions Siemens NX as a world-class design platform by ensuring a stable, high-performing environment, optimizingconfigurations and driving upgrades
- Establish customer defaults, modeling standards, drafting rules, and attribute requirements to improve CAD data quality
- Deploy and expand automated checks (Check-Mate,NX Open tools) to ensure consistency and eliminate costly rework
- User Empowerment & Enablement:
- Serve as the trusted expert engineers rely on to troubleshoot complex NX issues – from assembly performance and WAVE links to translations and data handoff
- Design and deliver onboarding programs, training and playbooks that accelerate user adoption and proficiency
- Innovation and Integration:
- Partner with Teamcenter admin to strengthen and scale our managed NX environment
- Drive seamless data flow into ERP and MES, ensuring accurate BOM information and manufacturing readiness
- Continuously reimage CAD processes to reduce friction, automate routine tasks, and unlock new capabilities across design and manufacturing
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science or a related field. Equivalent work experience will be considered
- Experience with Aerospace specific modules
- 5+ years of hands-on Siemens NX experience (Implementation, configuration, administration, and troubleshooting)
- Deep expertise with NX in Teamcenter-managed environments, including CAD standards, data management and release workflow
- Demonstrated success in training, mentoring and enabling CAD users
- Scripting/automation skills (NX Open, Python, ITK, or similar)
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
- Ability to translate engineering pain points into system solutions
- Proven ability to design and deliver scalable solutions independently
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Eagerness to learn and adapt to evolving technologies
Preferred Skills and Experience:
- Familiarity with NX CAM or Simulation tools
- Ability to automate CAD data quality checks
- Strong change management skills
