What does a Strategic Account Director (NHS & Healthcare) do at Glooko?
We have successfully deployed our solution across the majority of NHS Trusts in the UK. However, our footprint is currently fragmented at the departmental level. Your mission is to bridge the gap between clinical usage and executive strategy.
You will be responsible for consolidating existing departmental contracts into unified, multi-year Trust-wide Enterprise Agreements, while simultaneously driving high-value growth through EHR integrations and auxiliary modules.
In this role you will:
- Map existing departmental footprints within Trusts and build the business case for "Trust-wide" conversion to streamline procurement and maximize value.
- Lead the charge on high-complexity sales, specifically focusing on the technical and clinical benefits of EHR integrations. Later adding on new modules to the trust wide contracts.
- Navigate the NHS landscape to build relationships with CIOs, CCIOs, and Finance Directors, moving beyond departmental budgets to capital expenditure and digital transformation funds.
- Orchestrate internal resources (technical, clinical, and legal) to handle complex RFP/tender responses and interoperability discussions.
Attributes you have:
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with teams
- Action-oriented and thrives in an environment that requires strong problem-solving skills, independent self-direction, and timely execution
- Team player with genuine curiosity and strong organizational skills who can help establish processes and path to scale with internal and external stakeholders
- Relationship-builder who is focused on customers and has ability to empathize with what they experience, as well as close sales to expand revenue opportunities
- Comfortable working independently and being proactive with communications across a remote team
- Exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to navigate competing priorities and ambiguity
- Direct experience in a highly visible and cross-functional role with high amounts of interaction with Product, Marketing, Sales and Development Teams
- Comfortable with data and making data-driven decisions to optimize customer experience
Qualifications:
- You have 7+ years of experience selling high-value technology directly into NHS Trusts. You don't just know who the stakeholders are; you understand the "language" of the NHS.
- You have a proven track record of converting small-scale pilots or departmental wins into 6 or 7-figure enterprise contracts.
- You are comfortable discussing interoperability, data standards (HL7/FHIR), and why EHR integration is the "holy grail" for clinical workflow efficiency.
Bonus:
- You aren't selling "vaporware." Our product is already validated and used by clinicians across the country.
- We trust your expertise. You’ll have the freedom to shape the strategic approach for our top-tier accounts.
