About the role:

• Design and implement external APIs for partners and third party developers
• Attend client facing meetings as needed to assist with troubleshooting and solution development
• Work closely with external partners like Redox to develop, enhance and maintain EHR Integration solutions
• Collaborate with engineering, cloud infrastructure and security teams to understand the requirements and develop highly scalable system design and architecture
• Investigate production issues and resolve them in a timely manner
• Support DevOps team in production deployments as needed

About you:

• Bachelor or Master Degree in Computer Science, Math, or Engineering.
• 5+ years of working experience in software development.
• 2+ years of experience in working with data systems and building external APIs for partners and third party developers.
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Experience with web service protocols (HTTPS, REST, SOAP, etc.).
• Experience with AWS services.
• Experience in Healthcare technology, standards, and workflows (e.g. HL7, FHIR)
• Experience with one or more programming languages such as Ruby, Java, Javascript and Python.
• Have a deep understanding of functional and design patterns with a focus on performance, security and scalability
• Have excellent communication skills with an ability to comfortably explain complex technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences
• Have a growth mindset and be comfortable with challenging the status quo
• Experience in building and maintaining EMR FHIR applications and SMART on FHIR is a plus
• You have experience and knowledge of Scrum and Agile tools. JIRA and Atlassian tools experience is a plus
• Knowledge or experience with API management platform is a plus
