Introducing the team and role

  • Gen.G Global Academy (GGA)'s BD Team plans and operates programs that enable gamers, esports fans, and students passionate about the gaming & esports industry from around the world to learn and experience industry knowledge and culture.
  • Student Success & Community Manager is responsible for the overall experience of students participating in the Practicum and Camp programs, overseeing student success, career development, and long-term community management.
  • This position covers both operational and strategic responsibilities. During program seasons, the focus is on student management, engagement, and program execution. During off-season periods, the role shifts to program development, curriculum refinement, and student-focused marketing to prepare for upcoming cohorts and new educational offerings.

💻 Key responsibilities

1. Student Success & Career Development

  • Manage the day-to-day learning experience for Practicum and Camp participants
  • Provide career guidance and professional development support:
  • Resume and portfolio reviews
  • Career path advising
  • Industry preparation and job search guidance
  • Post-program student support:
  • Career and internship exploration support
  • Ongoing alumni relationship management
  • Long-term student success monitoring

2. Community & Student Engagement

  • Build and manage a global student and alumni community
  • Drive engagement through:
  • Communications and check-ins
  • Feedback collection and reflection of student feedback
  • Community initiatives that strengthen belonging and retention
  • Act as a trusted point of contact throughout students' journey

3. Program Operations & Delivery (In-Season)

  • Support execution of Practicum and camp programs:
  • Lecture and instructor coordination
  • Schedule and session management
  • Student logistics and communications
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth and high-quality program delivery
  • Adapt operations based on student needs

4. Program Development & Marketing (Off-Season)

Key responsibilities during non-program periods:

  • Program development and refinement based on student feedback and outcomes
  • Design and improvement of new educational offerings tailored to Gen.G students
  • Support student-focused marketing initiatives:
  • Program messaging and positioning
  • Student success stories, testimonials, and community-driven content
  • Collaborate with internal and external teams to prepare for upcoming cohorts

5. Student Growth & Program Promotion

  • Actively promote Gen.G Global Academy programs to current students and alumni
  • Identify opportunities to match students with the most suitable Gen.G programs based on career goals
  • Provide student insights to inform business development and marketing strategy

🔎 We're looking for someone like this (Required Qualifications)

  • 3+ years of experience working with students in:
  • Student success or career services
  • Education or training programs
  • Community or program management
  • Strong interest in or experience with gaming, esports, or digital culture
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to manage both in-season program operations and off-season strategic work
  • Highly organized, proactive, and student-first mindset
  • Must be able to live and work in Korea during the program

💛 Even better if you have these (Preferred Qualifications)

  • Experience in esports, gaming, tech, or creative industries
  • Experience with career advising, alumni engagement, or program design
  • Global or cross-cultural experience working with international students, particularly from the United States / Experience supporting students from diverse cultural and ethnic backgrounds
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving, and global team environment
