We’re building a network of experienced, customer-focused accounting professionals who love working with startups and small businesses. As a Controller at FlowFi, you’ll oversee multiple customer engagements, manage the full accounting lifecycle, and act as the trusted financial advisor for your customers. This isn’t just behind-the-scenes work, you’ll guide founders to smarter financial decisions by delivering clean, accurate, and insightful financials.

What You’ll Do

• Lead and oversee full-cycle accounting for multiple clients, including GL management, AP/AR, reconciliations, journal entries, and financial reporting
• Own month-end close processes, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timely delivery of financial statements
• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, translating complex accounting concepts into actionable insights
• Identify trends, errors, or inefficiencies, and implement solutions to improve accuracy and operational efficiency
• Advise clients on financial strategy, KPIs, and cash flow management
• Mentor and collaborate with other accountants to ensure consistent quality and best practices across the FlowFi network

What We’re Looking For

• Proven experience in accounting and financial oversight, preferably managing multiple client accounts or company books
• Strong strategic mindset with the ability to translate financial data into actionable business recommendations
• Confident communicator—able to explain complex financial concepts in plain English
• Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Experienced with QuickBooks Online or similar accounting systems
• Highly organized, self-directed, and able to manage multiple deadlines and priorities
• Commitment to delivering high-quality work and exceptional client service
