We are seeking skilled and experienced Senior Accountants to join our FlowFi network. As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for acting as the primary point of contact for our end clients, and performing individual contributor tasks typical of an accountant. Your expertise in accounting principles and exceptional customer service skills will contribute to the successful closure of our clients' books each month.

Accounting Tasks

  • Perform full cycle accounting activities such as general ledger entries, bank reconciliations, accounts payable and receivable management, and financial statement preparation
  • Ensure accurate and timely completion of month-end and year-end closing processes
  • Review and analyze financial data for anomalies, errors, and discrepancies, taking corrective actions as necessary

Interface with Customers

  • Serve as the main point of contact for assigned clients, building strong relationships and understanding their unique accounting requirements
  • Coordinate with clients to gather necessary financial information, resolve issues, and provide regular updates on book closure progress
  • Address customer inquiries, concerns, and requests in a timely and professional manner, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction

Process Improvement

  • Continuously evaluate existing accounting procedures and identify opportunities for process improvements, increased efficiency, and enhanced accuracy
  • Collaborate with the management team to implement best practices, streamline workflows, and leverage technology to optimize accounting operations

Compliance and Reporting

  • Ensure adherence to accounting principles, industry standards, and regulatory requirements
  • Assist in the preparation of financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
  • Assist with audits and provide necessary documentation to auditors as required

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA certification is preferred.
  • Proven experience in accounting roles, with a solid understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
  • Experiencing working on multiple customers’ books each month, not just one business
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interface with clients and team members
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to identify discrepancies and resolve accounting issues
  • Proficient in QuickBooks Online, NetSuite and Microsoft Office applications, with the ability to quickly learn new systems
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of relevant accounting regulations and compliance standards
  • Commitment to providing exceptional customer service and delivering high-quality results

If you are a dedicated and motivated accounting professional with leadership skills and a passion for delivering excellent client service, we encourage you to apply for our Sr. Accountant role. Join our team and contribute to the success of our small business clients by ensuring accurate and timely closure of their books each month.

This role is fully remote and does not require a full, 40 hour commitment. Our Accountants have the flexibility to work according to their schedules—whether that be 10 hours a week or a full 40 hours. Please note that compensation varies on experience. This is a 1099 role servicing clients. You’ll be matched to clients based on your availability and expertise.
