Job Overview
Embroker is hiring interns (pursuing MBA preferred) to support our Business Operations and Finance teams.
The Business Operations team supports our executive leadership team tackling critical business challenges. This high impact team identifies and owns projects that significantly impact the broader business. They also generate key opportunities to innovate on our operational model, processes, and performance management structure.
The Finance Team supports our executive leadership team identifying key metrics and reporting against our financial plan and long-term targets. The Finance team leads Embroker’s financial performance, investment initiatives and communication to the Board and internal stakeholders.
These two roles will develop a robust decision-making framework on growth paths that Embroker is considering by leveraging internal data, conversations with stakeholders, and fundamentals incorporated from top-tier MBA programs and past experience.
The candidate should be adept at communicating, engaging, and presenting to executive leadership and highly skilled at analyzing unstructured data to identify insights for Emboker.
Major Responsibilities
- Research and Analysis: Independently formulate critical questions and analyze extensive datasets from diverse sources to pinpoint high-impact opportunities and glean actionable insights.
- Competitive Intelligence: Perform market and industry analyses and integrate trends into operational strategies.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Interview and engage with a wide range of stakeholders to better understand the commercial insurance market and propose solutions to industry challenges. Able to prepare and present presentations to a variety of audiences.
- Perform other duties as assigned
Skills and Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing an MBA or Master's degree in Business, Finance, Entrepreneurship or a related field preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Demonstrated interest in the insurance, insuretech or fintech industries
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and translate insights into actionable growth strategies
- Prior experience working on a consulting project, investment analysis and/or financial planning
- Ability to work cross-culturally on a global team
- Prolonged periods of time sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Ability to perform at a high-level in a remote work environment
