This position will be responsible for the planning, development and execution of Snapdragon compute technical product marketing initiatives. The successful candidate for this role should possess a comprehensive understanding of the mobile computing space, including various operating systems, hardware, and software. Additionally, they should have a thorough understanding of performance benchmarks and user experiences across competitive processor tiers and the ability to develop and articulate the advantages of the Snapdragon platform over competing solutions. To achieve success in this role, the candidate should have strong communications and presentation skills in order to effectively convey messages to a variety of internal and external stakeholders.
Success in this role requires exceptional communication, technical storytelling, integrated planning, and presentation skills to effectively articulate key messages to diverse internal and external stakeholders. The candidate will be expected to design and leverage strategic marketing initiatives that enhance the visibility and reach of products and programs. Proficiency in developing and implementing product positioning, messaging, and value propositions tailored to distinct customer segments is crucial, as is the ability to monitor and analyze market trends, customer feedback, and competitive intelligence to inform marketing strategies and develop engaging, interactive content.
The successful candidate should have proven experience in creating and executing integrated marketing plans for global product marketing programs and communications, as well as guiding teams through the deployment of software marketing strategies targeted at core audiences, including Qualcomm regional offices, OEMs, and channel partners.
The Staff Product Marketing Manager must have experience creating and delivering compelling product demonstrations, presentations and content, and driving ecosystem initiatives. It is also important to have experience with fostering partner relationships for collaboration on joint GTM and technical marketing programs, content, events, and demos.
Responsibilities Include:
- Develops strategies and plans product positioning in collaboration with senior management to drive market entry of Qualcomm product lines.
- Understanding the marketplace, the needs/desires of the market for our products, and what the competition is doing. Determines opportunities for our product and supports the implementation of strategies for penetration into market.
- Evaluates competitive product analysis and formulates long-range plans and objectives for specific product areas.
- Synthesizes data to make business decisions driven by strategy to influence key stakeholders across the organization.
- Conducts competitive analysis and synthesizes market research; evaluates sales performance, formulates and reviews corporate long-range plans, goals, objectives for specific product areas, monitors competitive activity, identify customer needs.
- Partner with competitive analysis and research team, product management, business development team and OEMs to develop proof points/ facts/ solutions marketing content and plans that are tailored to target audiences, support the product messaging and key product initiatives, and arm customer, channel, business development teams with compelling GTM marketing material and positioning and execute marketing plans in line with business goals.
- Leverages expert knowledge of Product Marketing principles and best practices to identify, implement, and oversee products, projects, and programs.
- Creates and evaluates content and executes marketing plans for Qualcomm products with minimal guidance.
- Develops and contributes to developing the product messaging that articulates our technology value proposition or tailoring it to specific audiences or verticals, product positioning statements and competitive positioning.
- Development of targeted marketing content and initiatives including, contracting and managing appropriate agencies, managing budgets, driving engagement with product management and engineering, coordination with leadership and providing guidance to staff and agencies supporting the program.
- Provides persuasive presentations to customers to implement product positioning strategies.
- Maintain marketing plans and including GTM project calendars, tracking of when/where/how customer products with Qualcomm compute technology are rolled out in channels globally; working directly with Qualcomm HQ partner marketing, regional partner and channel teams and marketing leads.
- Ensure measurement, KPI, and ROI goals are considered and implemented.
- Support regional teams working to help provide product positioning materials and, training, influence ecosystem partners and channel to facilitate business growth.
- Manages relationships with internal and external stakeholders, customers, and ecosystem partners to promote products and technologies.
- Manages cross-functional teams and collaborates across Product Management; meets regularly with peers and business unit to discuss product and go-to market plans.
- Establishing strong positive relationships with key ecosystem partners, as needed, to facilitate advocacy of Qualcomm product positioning and influence how products are positioned with OEMs, channel partners and throughout the ecosystem.
Level of Responsibility:
- Working independently with minimal supervision.
- Providing supervision to direct reports.
- Making decisions that are significant in nature and affect work beyond immediate work group.
- Using verbal and written communication skills to convey complex information. May require negotiation, influence, tact, etc.
- Developing and administering budgets, schedules, and performance standards for functional area within the prescribed budgetary objectives of the department.
- Exercising a great degree of influence over key organizational decisions (e.g., is making or directly making key decisions that will have substantial impact over the organization).
- Completing tasks that do not have defined steps; planning, problem-solving, and prioritization must occur to complete the tasks effectively.
This is an office-based position located in San Diego, CA and is expected to comply with the company's onsite work policy.

Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree and 6+ years of Product Marketing, Marketing, Business, Engineering, Communications, or related work experience.OR
Associate's degree or equivalent degree and 8+ years of Product Marketing, Marketing, Business, Engineering, Communications, or related work experience.
OR
High school Diploma or equivalent and 10+ years of Product Marketing, Marketing, Business, Engineering, Communications, or related work experience.
*Completed advanced degrees in a relevant field may be substituted for up to two years (Master’s = one year, Doctorate = two years) of work experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration/Management, Engineering, Marketing, Technical or related field.
- Master's Degree in Business Administration/Management, Engineering, Marketing, Technical or related field.
- 10+ years of Product Marketing or related work experience.
- 5+ years of leading strategic or business performance initiatives and/or organizational change initiatives.
- 3+ years of work experience in a role requiring interaction with senior leadership (e.g., Director level and above).
- 4+ years of experience working in a large matrixed organization.
- 1+ years in a leadership role with direct reports.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills with ability to work with a dynamic team environment.
- Effective relationship building and influencing skills.
- Excellent planning and organizational skills.
- Ability to work and lead in a highly collaborative team environment, building alignment and - consensus across product management, business development and senior management.
- Broad experience in producing high impact business-to-business marketing communications, including conferences/trade shows, channel programs, digital marketing and social media.
- Experienced in collaborating across functional teams to execute integrated marketing programs.
- Self-starter, must be resourceful, and able to effectively operate in a complex, fast-paced environment.

Pay range and Other Compensation & Benefits:
$172,000.00 - $258,000.00The above pay scale reflects the broad, minimum to maximum, pay scale for this job code for the location for which it has been posted. Even more importantly, please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Qualcomm.
