The Director of Partner Marketing (Strategic Accounts) will define and scale Qualcomm Technologies’ hyperscaler engagement model across top-tier AI ecosystem partners. This role sits at the intersection of strategy, innovation and partner marketing to elevate Qualcomm as the partner of choice across devices, platforms, and infrastructure. As a senior leader within Strategic Marketing Alliances, this Director will:
- Own the partner marketing strategy and operating model for high-profile strategic accounts
- Drive high-impact partnership collaboration while building toward scaled, global coverage
- Translate complex partner ecosystems into clear priorities, structured investments, and measurable results
This is a build and scale role, focused on establishing a disciplined, proof-driven approach to partner engagement that evolves from focused investment to full-scale execution.
What You’ll Drive:
1. Strategic Accounts/Hyperscaler Strategy & Portfolio
- Develop and foster strategic marketing partner relationships focused on high-impact, mutually beneficial opportunities
- Create overall annual partner strategy in close collaboration with Sales; articulate narrative/messaging for each strategic partner
- Create and implement annual partner marketing strategy, prioritization, and portfolio management of the strategic accounts; identify synergistic opportunities that will result in win/win impact
- Align partnerships to Qualcomm Technologies’ AI, platform, and growth priorities
- Bring external intelligence to the Marketing team for this segment
2. Operating Model & Scale
- Design and scale a repeatable engagement model across phases
- Establish clear partner segmentation, roles, and coverage to enable disciplined execution
- Ensure coordinated execution across marketing, product, alliances, and regions for full partnership and key industry moments
3. Investment & Performance Discipline
- Apply disciplined investment strategy tied to strategic fit and measurable impact
- Define success metrics and scale engagement based on proven, repeatable results
- Share impact with internal stakeholders and external partners
What does success look like for this role?
- Develop annual partner strategy for each strategic partner in collaboration with Sales. Build and implement a partner marketing framework, anchored in strategy, to maximize the mutually beneficial impact of Partner Marketing collaboration with these key partners.
- Maximize co-marketing investments and strengthen mutually beneficial relationships across key partners (1+1=3); close collaboration with Sales
- Capitalize on strategic brand partnerships (existing and new) and Qualcomm Marketing to accelerate product awareness and understanding, showcase technology in the context of audience passions, build community. Leverage Qualcomm’s marketing efforts to collaborate with partners and amplify for mutual success.
- Drive compelling, strategic, and differentiated partner programs to drive business impact.

This is an office based position located in San Diego, CA and is expected to comply with the company's onsite work policy. This is a U.S. based position and is not eligible for visa sponsorship.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree and 8+ years of Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or related work experience.OR
Associate's degree or equivalent degree and 10+ years of Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or related work experience.
OR
High school Diploma or equivalent and 12+ years of Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or related work experience.
*Completed advanced degrees in a relevant field may be substituted for up to two years (Master’s = one year, Doctorate = two years) of work experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- MBA or Master's degree in related field.
- Proven experience in developing and executing complex co-marketing strategies with measurable results.
- Proven experience leading matrixed teams to develop and execute co-marketing programs that drive mutual value.
- Strong executive presence; ability to influence senior stakeholders and translate business objectives into co-marketing strategy.
- Strong understanding of the technology industry, particularly in areas relevant to Qualcomm's business (e.g., mobile, IoT, automotive).
- Strategic thinker with a strong analytical mindset and a data-driven approach to decision-making.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, and highly matrixed global environment.
- Ability to lead a high performing team

Pay range and Other Compensation & Benefits:
$187,000.00 - $280,600.00The above pay scale reflects the broad, minimum to maximum, pay scale for this job code for the location for which it has been posted. Even more importantly, please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Qualcomm. We also offer a competitive annual discretionary bonus program and opportunity for annual RSU grants (employees on sales-incentive plans are not eligible for our annual bonus).
