Dusty Robotics is the best solution to ensure design integrity in the field through automated layout and a streamlined BIM-to-field process. Dusty delivers a combination of hardware, software, and services that fit seamlessly into existing construction work processes by printing digital models directly on the jobsite floor with 1/16" accuracy based directly on Revit or AutoCAD models. Dusty has enabled contractors to print over 100 million square feet of layout across thousands of buildings and is trusted by leading general contractors such as DPR and Skanska as well as trade contractors in framing, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing.

As we embark on an exciting phase of growth and development, we are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Accountant to join our team and help bring accounting functions in-house. This is a unique opportunity to be the first internal accounting hire, playing a crucial role in establishing and shaping our financial infrastructure. We are looking for someone who is passionate about accounting, financial compliance, reporting, strategic decision-making, and eager to contribute to the foundation of our organization's success. The Senior Accountant will play a crucial role in ensuring we close our books on-time, establish and improve AR and AP processes, and ensure tax and regulatory compliance. You will work cross-functionally within Dusty Robotics, collaborate with third-party tax and accounting advisors and be responsible for:

  • Bringing accounting in-house
  • Closing our books monthly and annually, including reviewing month-end reconciliations and schedules, approving journal entries, preparing complex journal entries, and consolidating global entities in compliance with US GAAP
  • Overseeing accounts payable (A/P), accounts receivable (A/R), inventory, and cash management
  • Ensuring periodic bank reconciliations are completed in a timely manner
  • Preparing technical memos and engaging specialists to prepare technical memos
  • Ensuring GAAP compliance in the recording of day-to-day transactions
  • Managing cash inflows and outflows, debt facility compliance, and banking administration
  • Managing special projects, including acquisitions, and supporting initiatives of senior finance leadership
  • Maximizing return on financial assets by establishing financial policies, procedures, controls, and reporting systems
  • Monitoring and confirming the financial condition by conducting audits and providing information to external auditors
  • Providing status of financial condition by collecting, interpreting, and reporting financial data, analyzing variances, and initiating corrective actions
  • Ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, filing financial reports, and advising management on needed actions
  • As the company grows, model high performance, sustainable growth and resilience, adherence to financial standards, and a culture of excellence and accountability within the team
  • Ensuring timely and complete monthly financial statements

Qualifications:

  • 6+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience, with at least 3+ year at a large international public accounting firm
  • Experience with cost accounting, manufacturing and hardware business models
  • Accounting degree and CPA
  • Highly analytical and innovative problem-solving skills, with a proven track record of process improvement
  • Experience with multi-currency, multi-entity consolidations and reporting.
  • Knowledge of ASC606 & 843, and lease accounting
  • Experience working with NetSuite, Bill.com, and Ramp or equivalents
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Experience working with international functions and teams is advantageous.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, capable of maintaining accuracy in work products and multitasking in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience managing third-party vendor relationships, completing acquisitions, and managing audits is beneficial.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Where You'll Work:

Dusty’s offices are located in Mountain View, CA. You will be primarily working from our office in this role to facilitate rapid coordination with executive leadership and business teams.
