Quality Control Lead

Objective: Manage a portfolio of software applications and systems to ensure releases occur without regressions
About Us: Delfina provides a leading pregnancy care data platform to improve maternal and child health outcomes.
About You: You will work with the Product Management and Engineering teams to build and deploy the Delfina Care platform. We expect excellent problem-solving and communication skills, and a meticulous attention to detail so you can thrive in a fast-paced, startup environment.
Responsibilities:
- Continuous Testing and Monitoring: Regularly and proactively testing the live application to catch and report any emerging bugs or performance issues.
- Rigorous Testing of Releases: Meticulously testing new releases of the application across various devices and scenarios to identify and document any bugs or regressions before they impact users.
- Detailed Bug Reporting: Thoroughly documenting any identified issues, including clear steps to reproduce the bug, relevant screenshots or videos, and any other helpful information to aid engineers in debugging and resolution.
- Collaboration with Engineering and Product: Working closely with both the engineering and product teams to understand the desired behavior of the application, communicate issues clearly, provide necessary context, and assist in troubleshooting and verifying fixes.
- Scaling QC: Growing the quality control system to scale to multiple testers, including the creation and maintenance of clear Standard Operating Procedures and evergreen testing plans.
Qualifications:
- 5 years of experience in software quality assurance
- Understanding of technical concepts, such as backend, frontends, and data flows
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a strong ability to understand and clarify requirements and specifications.
- Detail-oriented and organized, with a proactive approach to managing multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a passion for data-driven decision-making.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with Agile or Scrum methodologies and experience working within an Agile team environment.
- Familiarity with GitHub issues.
