About the job
A Solution Consulting Manager leads a team of Solution Consultants, overseeing the pre-sales process by identifying customer needs, crafting customized solutions, and guiding the sales team to close deals by leveraging their technical expertise to demonstrate how a company's product or service can effectively address client challenges; they are responsible for coaching and developing their team, ensuring successful customer interactions, and driving revenue growth through strategic solution positioning.
What you'll do
- Team Leadership: Recruit, hire, and manage a team of Solution Consultants, providing ongoing training, coaching, and performance feedback to optimize their effectiveness in customer interactions.
- Customer Needs Analysis: Deeply understand client business requirements and pain points to tailor solutions that align with their specific needs, often collaborating with sales representatives to gather critical information.
- Solution Design and Presentation: Develop compelling solution proposals, including technical demonstrations and presentations, highlighting the value proposition of the product/service to prospective customers.
- Technical Expertise: Possess in-depth knowledge of the company's product or service offerings, including technical capabilities, to effectively answer customer questions and address concerns.
- Pre-Sales Support: Actively participate in the sales cycle, providing technical guidance to the sales team during customer calls, proof-of-concept demonstrations, and RFP responses.
- Strategic Planning: Collaborate with sales leadership to identify target markets, develop go-to-market strategies, and prioritize sales opportunities based on potential revenue.
- Performance Monitoring: Track key metrics related to sales pipeline, win rates, and customer satisfaction to identify areas for improvement and optimize team performance.
- Customer Relationship Management: Build strong relationships with clients throughout the sales cycle, ensuring a positive customer experience and advocating for their needs.
