ABOUT THE ROLE
As an ESG data Analyst, you will be responsible for building out the frameworks and data sets to analyze and evaluate social and environmental factors that impact our company’s operations, investments and overall performance. You will be in charge of managing the data collection and building automation processes, dashboards and reporting templates. You will track social and environmental initiatives and ensure that the organization's activities are in compliance with regulations and standards. You will also help to identify opportunities for sustainable development, and make recommendations for improving social and environmental performance across our organization. The ideal candidate should possess analytical skills, a deep understanding of sustainability principles, and experience in conducting sustainability assessments and reporting. You will report to the VP of Sustainability but will work closely with other cross-functional leaders, with your key secondary stakeholder being the Chief People officer and other members of the People Leadership team.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • ESG Data Management: Collect, analyze, and maintain high-quality ESG data for CSRD and EcoVadis reporting, enhancing compliance and sustainability ratings.
  • People Data Management: Handle and safeguard People data, ensuring GDPR compliance, and establish robust processes for data hygiene, validation, and secure reporting.
  • Employee Engagement Insights: contribute to employee engagement surveys and pulse surveys, analyzing feedback to guide organizational improvements.
  • Dashboard & Reporting Development: Design, manage, and update People & Sustainability dashboards, providing actionable insights and regular reports to senior leadership and stakeholders.
  • Carbon Footprint Analysis: Lead annual carbon footprint assessments, identify energy, waste, and water trends, and support reduction strategies in partnership with the VP Sustainability.
  • Sustainability Metrics & Initiatives: Monitor sustainability initiatives, develop impact metrics, and adjust scenarios based on progress toward reduction goals.
  • Process Automation & System management: Strengthen and automate ETL processes for People and Sustainability data, collaborating cross-functionally to standardize workflows. Collaborate with ISD and Enterprise Analytics teams to align data systems across departments and systems.
  • Ad-Hoc Assessments & Projects: Conduct sustainability and people-related assessments, such as pay gap reporting and workforce planning, providing insights for decision-making.
  • Industry Best Practices: Stay informed about sustainability and data management trends, ensuring continuous improvement in reporting standards and practices.

WHAT YOU NEED :

  • Fluent in professional English, both spoken and written.
  • 2 years above proven experience in ESG research and analysis, with knowledge of carbon accounting frameworks and sustainability reporting standards (e.g., CSRD, EcoVadis).
  • Advanced proficiency in SQL and Excel; experience with dbt, Python, or similar tools is a plus.
  • Skilled in data visualization using tools like Power BI or Tableau, with the ability to present insights effectively to senior stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical skills with a proven ability to transform complex data into actionable recommendations.
  • Demonstrated experience automating data processes, including preparation, cleaning, and transformation for reporting.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of conveying technical insights to diverse audiences.
  • Collaborative and influential, with a track record of building strong relationships across teams and engaging senior stakeholders.
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and adept at managing multiple projects under tight deadlines.
  • Passionate about sustainability, with a proactive, problem-solving mindset and commitment to data accuracy and confidentiality.
