About The Role

Production at Clutch is entering its next phase of scale — expanding facilities, increasing throughput targets, deepening reconditioning complexity, and raising operational performance standards across the network. As we scale, operational excellence cannot rely on instinct or individual heroics. It must be systemized.

As an Operations Analyst, you will serve as the strategic and performance engine of the Production Development team, partnering directly with the Director of Production Development. This is not a support, reporting, or coordination role. This is a high-ownership operator role for someone who wants to deeply understand, improve, and ultimately run a production operation. The role is intentionally designed as a feeder seat into senior production leadership.

You will own performance visibility across the production network, design the systems that drive operational clarity, and deploy into high-impact initiatives that shape how production scales at Clutch. You will operate at both altitude and ground level — working in SQL and executive reviews, in operating models and on production floors, and in strategy sessions as well as bottleneck diagnostics.

What You’ll Do

  • Own production performance reporting across the entire network
  • Design and evolve KPI frameworks aligned to throughput, quality, cost, and labor efficiency
  • Establish standardized metric definitions across sites to eliminate reporting ambiguity
  • Pull and manipulate production data directly from internal databases using SQL (joins, aggregations, subqueries, basic data modeling)
  • Develop scalable dashboards and self-service tools that empower non-technical teams
  • Translate operational data into clear executive insights, narratives, and structured presentations
  • Identify performance gaps, systemic inefficiencies, downtime drivers, and root causes
  • Develop leading indicators that enable proactive operational management
  • Embed within production workflows to understand bottlenecks, process variability, and throughput constraints
  • Conduct structured operational diagnostics when facilities underperform
  • Deconstruct throughput constraints across labor, process flow, supply availability, sequencing, and facility layout
  • Design and implement durable process improvements in partnership with site leaders
  • Support capacity modeling, labor planning, throughput forecasting, and network planning
  • Lead high-impact production improvement initiatives from problem definition through measurable outcomes
  • Deploy into new markets or facilities to stabilize and elevate performance
  • Convert successful improvements into repeatable playbooks and scalable systems
  • Represent Production Development in cross-functional initiatives with Supply Chain, Commercial, Finance, People, Product, and Data teams
  • Mentor junior analysts and establish analytics best practices
  • Collaborate with data engineering to improve data infrastructure reliability, accuracy, and scalability

What We’re Looking For

  • 4–8 years of experience in operations, strategy & operations, manufacturing, supply chain, operational consulting, or data analytics in operationally intensive environments
  • Strong SQL proficiency (joins, aggregations, subqueries, basic data modeling)
  • Experience designing KPI frameworks and operational performance dashboards
  • Proven ownership of cross-functional initiatives from ambiguous problem definition to measurable resolution
  • Strong executive communication and structured presentation skills
  • Experience working within physical production environments (manufacturing, logistics, fulfillment, reconditioning)
  • Proficiency in data visualization tools (Looker, Tableau, Power BI, or similar)
  • Experience with Python or R for analysis and automation is a plus
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to structure ambiguous business questions
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, high-growth environment with shifting priorities
  • Self-motivated, curious, detail-oriented, and willing to deeply understand operational realities

Strongly Preferred

  • Industrial Engineering background
  • Exposure to Lean / Six Sigma methodologies
  • Experience supporting or scaling multi-site operations
  • Experience with capacity modeling or network planning
  • Background in high-growth or rapidly scaling environments

Why you’ll love it at Clutch

  • Competitive compensation package with equity options
  • Opportunity to have outsized impact in a scaling startup and clear exposure to senior production leadership
  • A collaborative, data-driven culture where your insights directly shape how our production network scales
  • This is an in-office position working from our Mississauga office
