About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced DevOps engineer to join our team at Capella Space. As a Senior DevOps engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing the infrastructure and tools needed to support our continuous integration and deployment processes. You will work closely with software developers, system administrators, and other stakeholders to ensure that our development and production environments are reliable, scalable, and secure. This is a critical role for our organization as we continue to grow and scale our operations.

Role Responsibilities

  • Design and implement automation pipelines for software development and deployment
  • Manage and monitor infrastructure to ensure high availability and performance
  • Collaborate with software developers to optimize application performance and reliability
  • Implement and manage containerization technologies, such as Docker and Kubernetes
  • Configure and maintain database systems and related tools
  • Implement and manage monitoring and logging solutions
  • Work with security teams to implement and maintain security best practices
  • Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure and deployment issues
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align infrastructure with business needs
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in DevOps

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • 8+ years of experience in a DevOps role
  • Strong understanding of cloud computing platforms, such as AWS or Azure
  • Proficiency in scripting languages, such as Python or Bash
  • Experience with configuration management tools, such as Ansible or Puppet
  • Knowledge of containerization technologies, such as Docker and Kubernetes
  • Experience with database systems, such as MySQL or PostgreSQL
  • Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools, such as Prometheus or ELK stack
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • To conform to U.S. Government space technology export regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), Capella Employees must be a U.S. citizen, lawful U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum, or be eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State and/or the U.S. Department of Commerce, as applicable. Compensation

The annual salary range for this role as it is posted is $125,300 - $165,990. The final job level and annual salary will be determined based on the education, qualification, knowledge, skills, ability, and experience of the final candidate(s), specific office location and calibrated against relevant market data and internal team equity.
