This role is a hybrid role, located in our Munich office. Current work authorization in Germany is required.

What You'll Do—Responsibilities

  • Ensuring the successful delivery of customer projects, from proofs-of-concept to series production
  • Understand the customer’s goals and challenges and apply Apex.AI’s solutions to those problems
  • Lead technical conversations with customers; effectively communicate status updates and answer tough customer questions
  • Lead Product and Application Engineers to deliver customer projects and deliverables on time and with the highest quality
  • Be an advocate for the customer internally, and relay feedback and requirements to the engineering teams
  • Effectively balance multiple priorities and ensure efficiency for projects and deliverables
  • Be the face of Apex.AI to customers and exemplify Apex.AI’s core values
  • Apply your strong problem-solving abilities and software development expertise to support global automotive and industrial customers in integrating Apex.AI products into their projects.

You Have

  • B.S. or higher degree in software engineering, computer science, or a related field with relevant work experience in software development
  • At least 7 years of proven experience in a customer-facing role
  • Excellent English oral and written communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills demonstrated through analytical thinking, creativity, and critical decision-making
  • Experience in any of the following automotive domains: ADAS, Infotainment/UX, Motion Control, Body Control, Safety, E/E Architecture or related domains
  • Understanding of low-level software and vehicle OS (RTOS, framework, Middleware)
  • Understanding of embedded network and communication concepts (Ethernet, CAN, SOME/IP, etc.)
  • Strong and proven project management skills
  • Self-motivated, comfortable operating without direct supervision
  • Minimum German proficiency level of C1 (CEFR) required for business and technical discussions

Nice to Have

  • Project Management Professional (PMP), Prince2 or similar certification
  • Experience delivering series production projects in the automotive industry, either as part of an OEM or a supplier
  • Experience with git, GitLab or similar tools
  • 3+ years of C/C++ development expertise

Compensation

  • The base salary starts at 112,000 euros/year.
  • Equity, benefits, and variable bonus may be provided as part of the total compensation package. Not all candidates will be eligible for the upper end of the salary range. The exact salary will depend on multiple factors, including the candidate's skills, experience, and other qualifications.
