This is a fantastic opportunity to directly impact our user engagement and retention strategies by owning the execution of key email and lifecycle campaigns.
You'll be reporting to the Growth Lead and collaborating with our product, marketing, engineering, and data teams to ensure our renters receive the right message at the right time, fostering long-term relationships and driving key actions.
What You’ll Do:
As our Email & Lifecycle Associate, you'll be the backbone of our B2C communication efforts, focusing on building, deploying, and optimizing automated and ad-hoc email campaigns. Your main responsibilities will include:
- Campaign Execution: Building and deploying email campaigns and automated lifecycle journeys within our email platform, Iterable, ensuring accurate segmentation, personalization, and timely delivery.
- A/B Testing & Optimization: Setting up and analyzing A/B tests for subject lines, content, calls-to-action, and send times to continuously improve campaign performance.
- Audience Segmentation: Collaborating with the Growth Lead to define and refine audience segments for targeted communications, leveraging data to personalize user experiences.
- Performance Monitoring: Tracking, analyzing, and reporting on key email and lifecycle metrics (e.g., open rates, click-through rates, conversion rates, deliverability) to identify trends and inform future strategies.
- Platform Management: Ensuring the health and hygiene of our email list and managing segment lists.
- Best Practices: Staying up-to-date with email marketing best practices, CAN-SPAM compliance, and emerging trends in lifecycle marketing.
What We’re Looking For:
We're seeking a detail-oriented, analytical, and execution-focused individual with a strong passion for email and lifecycle marketing. You should be eager to learn, adapt quickly, and thrive in a data-driven environment.
Key Skills & Experience:
- Email Marketing Experience: Proven experience in building, deploying, and optimizing email marketing campaigns, preferably in a B2C context.
- Platform Proficiency: Hands-on experience with Iterable or a similar enterprise-level marketing automation platform (e.g., Braze, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, HubSpot, Mailchimp, Klaviyo).
- A plus if familiar with the Handlebars templating language, particularly as used within Iterable
- Analytical Mindset: Ability to analyze campaign performance data, identify insights, and make data-driven recommendations for optimization.
- Attention to Detail: Meticulous approach to quality assurance, ensuring accuracy in segmentation, links, personalization, and deployment.
- Collaboration: Ability to take direction, integrate feedback, and work effectively within a team structure.
- Tools & Analytics:
- Comfortable using BI platforms like Looker to independently explore data and uncover insights.
- Hands-on experience designing and analyzing A/B and multivariate tests for experimentation.
- Comfort with project management tools (e.g., Asana).
- Experience in a high-growth tech company, particularly in a B2C or marketplace environment.
- Basic knowledge of HTML and CSS for customizing email templates, including the ability to modify styles and create simple code snippets.
