About the Role
We’re seeking an enthusiastic and service-driven IT Support Engineer to join our growing team. This role is ideal for someone passionate about technology, who thrives on solving problems, and is eager to grow their career in IT systems and operations. You’ll be the first line of support for internal IT needs, play a key role in onboarding/offboarding, and help ensure our hardware and systems run smoothly and securely.
This is a hands-on, dynamic role that will expose you to a broad range of tools and systems. You’ll work closely with other members of IT and have opportunities to deepen your technical expertise over time.

Key Responsibilities

IT Support & Ticketing
  • Respond to and resolve IT support tickets in a timely and professional manner, delivering outstanding internal customer service.
Employee Lifecycle Support
  • Execute the technical aspects of onboarding and offboarding employees, including account provisioning, hardware preparation, and system access.
Asset Management
  • Track and maintain IT hardware inventory. Process incoming and outgoing shipments, including receiving, testing, and checking in laptops and peripherals.
Hardware Procurement
  • Coordinate the purchase of laptops, accessories, and other IT equipment in alignment with budget and company standards.
Knowledge Base & Documentation
  • Create and maintain internal documentation and self-service support articles in Confluence, with a focus on clarity and accessibility to reduce repetitive tickets and empower employees.
Cross-Team Collaboration
Partner with other departments to support IT workflows, improve processes, and resolve complex issues collaboratively.

Must-Haves

  • Demonstrated experience in IT support or helpdesk roles.
  • Strong problem-solving and organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical users.
  • Hands-on experience managing Google Workspace (e.g., user provisioning, email groups, permissions).
  • Experience managing devices using JAMF (for macOS) and Microsoft Intune (for Windows).
  • Proactive mindset with the ability to identify process improvements.
  • Ability to be on-site approximately once per week to manage hardware inventory and logistics.

At Apartment List, we carefully consider a variety of factors to determine compensation for each position, including the role, level, and work.
Please note, the compensation details reflect base salary + bonus only and do not include the benefits and perks that we offer.
We also rely on market indicators along with considering your work location, job related skills, experience and relevant education and training, to determine compensation that is fair and competitive for you. Apartment List will consider paying compensation near the higher of the range in exceptional circumstances, where candidates have the experience, credentials or expertise that would warrant such consideration.
