The AI Nurture team uses cutting-edge AI and GenAI technologies to revolutionize the apartment renting experience and engage with millions of renters, bridging the gap between renters and property managers. As a Senior Software Engineer (SE4) on this team, you will play a key role in shaping the future of AI-driven real estate solutions. Your work will contribute to launching new products, improving existing ones, and driving cross-functional initiatives, including technical consolidation projects.
Reporting directly to the Co-Founder & CTO of AI Nurture (acquired by Apartment List in 2022), you will strengthen internal partnerships and foster international collaboration between the US and Israeli teams.
Note: While we are a virtual-first company, this role requires an EST-based candidate to facilitate real-time collaboration with US and Israeli engineering teams.
Here’s what you’ll do as part of the team:
Project and Technical execution
- Deliver high impact projects end-to-end, collaborate with product, design, and data to unblock execution
- Drive complex problem-solving and analytical decision-making in uncertain scenarios
- Build products that incorporate ML and GenAI models
- Lead both product-focused initiatives and technical health projects to ensure system stability and scalability
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Actively participate in engineering forums to represent the AI nurture team to promote cross functional collaboration
- Work closely with global teams, including the AI Nurture IL engineering manager and data science lead
Here are the skills and experience you’ll need to be successful:
- Experience:
- SE4-level full-stack engineering experience with a strong backend focus
- Startup experience and a bias for action
- Skills:

- NodeJS

- Postgres or similar relational database
- Cloud: GCP, AWS or similar
- CI/CD: Jenkins, Github actions or similar
- Timezone: Must be located on east coast time to maximize overlap with both US and IL

- Experience working with GenAI technologies
- Global Team Collaboration: Experience working with international teams and specifically Israeli teams (Hebrew fluency is a plus but not required)

Here's the Pay Range:
At Apartment List, we carefully consider a variety of factors to determine compensation for each position, including the role, level, and work. The US base salary range for this position is:
- Zone 1: $170,000 - $207,000 TTC (including $154,000 - $186,000 base salary) + equity
- Zone 2: $158,000 - $191,000 TTC (including $142,000 - $172,000 base salary) + equity
- Zone 3: $145,000 - $175,000 TTC (including $130,000 - $158,000 base salary) + equity
This reflects the compensation target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Please note, the compensation details provided do not include benefits and perks that we offer.
We also rely on market indicators along with considering your work location, job related skills, experience and relevant education and training, to determine compensation that is fair and competitive for you. Apartment List will consider paying compensation near the higher of the range in exceptional circumstances, where candidates have the experience, credentials or expertise that would warrant such consideration. It is always our goal to hire exceptional talent and we would be happy to share more about compensation during the hiring process.
